It has been ages since I last blogged and felt that I couldn't leave it hanging there with Sarah Jessica Parker's image, so I decided to blog about my most recent fashionable splurge. Longchamp has come out with an affordable line of purses that I fell in love with at first sight! Ceci est un IT BAG is a line of bags that is fresh and exciting for a sometimes staid brand. The video on their website is fun and reaches out to the youtube generation. The cream bags are timeless and the orange are just fun, so of course I had to go with the orange!

This photo comes from the blog celebitchy.com where they bashed Sarah Jessica Parker for this outfit. I have to disagree and say that I love the hot pink and black color combination. The skinny jeans and black silk sheath are a modern take on a classic look from Audrey Hepburn's style book. She also has the figure to get away with wearing almost whatever she wants, so why not take risks? She wouldn't be the fashion queen she is today if she had never taken risks.

Sun Shields
With the sun out in full force over the weekend, I was in need of fabulous sun screen that didn't smell bad or feel greasy. My search led me to stop in at Kiehls and try on their Vital Sun Protection. For the first time in my life I'm in love with the feeling of sunscreen on my skin. The Vital Sun Protection has the feel of Kiehls rich lotions and has only the slightest hint of fragrance.
Now for the most important part of the body that needs protection, the face. Chanel UV Essentiel won't make you feel like you are at the beach when you are at work, but protect you just as well as old faithful Coppertone. While providing SPF 30 protection with a matte finish, this product also claims to erase skin damage while protecting the face. If I love a sunscreen product enough to wear it everyday, than it is worth every penny.

Running in Heels
Sadly, I won't be blogging as frequently due to other work projects going on, but I still am always on the lookout for the fabulous things in life.
There is a new TV show that I must check out this Sunday called Running in Heels about life behind the scenes at Marie Claire magazine. Cat fights abound in the magazine and fashion industry, so this should be good!

Shop Education

West Elm has been selling the work of students from the Savannah College of Art and Design for a few years, but you can actually purchase some amazing work created by students and alumni straight from the school. While the work isn't as cheap as something you might find on Etsy, you never know when you are purchasing work from the next "it" artist. Some of my favorite pieces are Dan Saelinger's photographs like the one above.

As Seen On
If you are looking to emulate your favorite TV stars' style, there is only one place to go.
A website called Seen On, where you are directed to the exact website for purchasing any item you may have coveted from your favorite TV style icon.
If you are looking for a sexy dress to capture Eva Longoria's saucy style they will direct you to the exact site to purchase this green and black stunner as well as what shoes and accessories she is wearing on each episode.
If you are doing a McDreamy makeover on your boyfriend, you may suggest that he move into Derek's airstream trailer.

Sunshine
I just went and saw Sunshine Cleaning this weekend and loved it. It is a dark and twisted humorous tale of a family turning their lives around. There were parts of the film that I couldn't stop laughing at, although at times I seemed to be the only one laughing! This is one of my top movies for 2009 and it is a cross between Fargo and Little Miss Sunshine.

Contain Yourself

I needed some storage help and headed out to Container Store over the weekend and much to my delight, they were having their annual tax sale. This sale is the only good that can come of tax time. I found the perfect storage boxes for organizing photos and they are sleek, sturdy, and made from recycled materials. I also felt that Container Store has really stepped up this year by carrying more stylish, design-friendly product lines!

Hermes for iphone

I was one of the first in the States to get the Louis Vuitton iphone case, but I am really coveting the latest accessory from Hermes. Pick from chocolate brown or a blue color, both are lined in orange! This is the ultimate subdued status symbol for the iphone.

The Pampered Pooch

If you happen to have an allergic dog then Cloud Star makes the dog biscuits for your furry friend. Buddy Biscuits were created from a grass roots company in San Luis Obispo and all of their ingredients are homegrown too. Their treats are loved by all dogs that I have ever run across and are free of corn, sugar, soy, salt, and egg. Their line of Buddy Biscuits has something for every finicky dog's taste from the low fat molasses madness to the vegan and wheat free sweet potato madness to the classic peanut butter madness. You can purchase these online, but I have found them in my local Trader Joes for a great price.
